Meet Dr. Jeff Labelle
Discovering His Path
As a child, Dr. Labelle suffered with terrible headaches that seemed to be triggered anytime he did something like ride his bike or play. His parents took him to every kind of doctor they could think of, including orthopedists, neurologists and psychologists. No one could discover the cause of his pain, so they prescribed a strong codeine pain reliever. He continued to take this medication for his headaches from the age of eight about until he was fourteen.
At that point, a friend suggested he try chiropractic for his headaches. Dr. Labelle went to her chiropractor—and was terrified the entire time. But after that adjustment, he didn’t have a headache for an entire month. When he got another headache, he went back again. This time he wasn’t scared; he was intrigued. His headaches disappeared and he decided then that he wanted to help others in the same way.

Education
Dr. Labelle attended Palmer College Graduate of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, which was founded by D.D. Palmer, the “Father of Chiropractic.” He was excited by the energy at Palmer, and by all of the instructors who taught about the innate intelligence of the body to heal itself. Palmer opened his eyes to the importance of the nervous system in overall health, and to how chiropractic care could restore function to the nervous system.
Principled, Straight Chiropractic
Dr. Labelle strives to teach his patients the same things he learned at Palmer—namely, that chiropractors don’t “treat” headaches or back pain or any symptom. What we do is determine if there’s a structural or mechanical misalignment causing nervous system dysfunction that results in a breakdown in communication between the brain and the body. When we correct the misalignment, the body’s ability to heal itself is restored.
Away from the Office
When he’s not at work, Dr. Labelle is passionate about eating nourishing, whole foods, spending time with his family and not sweating the small stuff.
